Peshtigo River

These small islands in Marinette County dot the river between the world-class rapids for which the Peshtigo is famous.  You won't need to depend on these islands for campsites, since the Peshtigo River State Forest has several canoe campsites.  There are ten low islands in the Potato Rapids flowage, and the BLM, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, constructed a walleye spawning reef on one of them.

Below are links to BLM-managed public islands on the Peshtigo.  These are in JPG format, 8.5 x 11 inches and show topographic features with islands indicated by stars.  To download, click on the icon or the name of the map.
