
It only seems fitting that we end our journey on the Oregon Trail: traveling in the
footsteps and wheel ruts of the earliest western settlers. Beginning in 1843, more
than 350,000 emigrants traveled west via the Oregon Trail Corridor. This middle
span of the 2,000-mile trail crosses Wyoming. With thoughts of heading home, we
stop at many of the historic sites along this famous historic route.
