We often think of Nevada as being vast expanses of desert, but in the northern part of the state, BLM's Pine Forest Recreation Area provides refreshing mountain views and a wide variety of recreational activities. We stop to do a little fishing and wildlife viewing at the Blue Lakes, a series of interconnected lakes nestled in a glacial basin.
