THE DINOSAUR-TECHNOLOGY CONNECTION

Do you ever wonder how dinosaurs really lived? Did they stay in one area or migrate from place to place? Did they walk on two or four legs? How fast did they walk or run? These and many other questions about the lives and habits of these amazing prehistoric animals are being investigated through the use of some very modern technology.

Let's take a look at how Neffra Matthews, Chief, Branch of Photogrammetric Applications of the BLM National Science and Technology Center, works with the newest technologies to record and interpret the dinosaur tracks (footprints) that have been found at Wyoming's Red Gulch Dinosaur Tracksite.

Before you read any further, you might want to check out some of the technical terms that are used to describe Neffra's job.
