The Birds of Prey Foundation, based in Colorado, cares for injured and orphaned raptors.
Carolina Raptor Center, an organization dedicated to conservation of raptors through rehabilitation, research, and education; offers education programs in the Carolinas. Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology, a more general bird site that includes several Citizen Science projects that classrooms can participate in. Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, one of the best places in the East to see migrating raptors. Idaho Public TV Special on birds of prey: website includes "Birds of prey Facts" and classroom activities. Macbride Raptor Project: website includes some interactive raptor games: Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, part of the U.S. Geological Survey, focuses on many aspects of wildlife research, including migratory birds. The Peregrine Fund, with headquarters in Boise, works to preserve wild populations of birds of prey. Pittsburg State University Science Education Center, in Kansas, has a Raptor Rehabilitation Program as well as a nature Reach program focusing on birds of prey. The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota: website includes migration tracking information and "Highway to the Tropics" lesson plans about raptors. Rocky Mountain Raptor Program in Fort Collins, Colorado, provides medical care, rehabilitation, and release for injured birds of prey as well as educational programs for local school and community groups. Save Our Amazing Raptors, a program for King County, Washington, schools based at Seattles Woodland Park Zoo. Sea World - Busch Gardens Diurnal Birds of Prey page: source of information on raptors--classification, habitat, characteristics, etc. Snake River Field Station, Forest and Rangeland Ecosystem Science Center conducts research on raptor ecology, biology, and related topics.
