This 57-page guide includes suggested readings and activities for teachers and
students to do before and after the broadcast. The readings are primarily designed to give viewers some contextual background before the broadcast.
The suggested activities provide a variety of ways to enhance the learning experience in the classroom. Most are designed as hands-on activities, but they could also be performed as demonstrations. Some can be accomplished easily within the class period, while others involve more time. We encourage teachers to choose activities that match students' interests and abilities and complement lesson plans.
The guide also includes an evaluation form to be completed after watching the broadcast. Please be sure to complete the form and return it to us. This will help us design future programs targeted to your needs.
