Join students from Centennial Junior High School in Montrose, Colorado, who will participate in the broadcast.
During the summer of 2002, fire roared through Burn Canyon in southwestern Colorado. More than 30,000 acres burned. In the broadcast, students who live in the area near Nucla recount their experiences during that frightening time. They came to realize as never before the importance of creating defensible space around homes in order to protect them from wildfire.

As part of the satellite broadcast, join students from Centennial Junior High School in southwestern Colorado as they visit a homeowner and point out ways to improve the chances the home will survive if and when fire strikes again.
