Idaho's 53 million acres of public lands are shared by only a million state residents who cherish the solitude and seclusion of the state. One of the world's largest nesting sites for raptors is found in the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. This unique site has a number of educational programs led by professional wildlife experts. Idaho is also the home of the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), which has an extensive educational program dedicated to fire education.
