Changing/Canceling a Permit:
As a courtesy to other boaters who wish to camp along the river, please notify the BLM river office as soon as possible if you are unable to use your camping permit or wish to change the trip leader information. If space permits, you may transfer your permit to a different date during the same season. No refunds are given, and a permit cannot be resold.
Off-Season: October through April
All permits are self-issued at the Loma boat launch at the time of your launch. No fees apply during this time of year.
Please DO NOT cross out someone’s name if a desired site is already reserved!
Step 1 - Pick up paper permit from kiosk
Step 2 - Fill out permit
o Home Zip Code
o Vehicle Information- Make, Model, License Plate Number and State
o Launch date - The day that your boat goes on the river
o Take off Date - The day that you take your boat out of the river
o Launch Site - Loma, Fruita, Rim Rock, etc.

If you float past your camp please continue to the overflow campground at May Flats near the Colorado Utah border.
Step 4 - Read the stipulations on the back of the permit
Step 5 - Sign the permit- Please make sure that you print and sign your name.
Step 6 - Keep the white copy with you while on the river. You will need to show it to a ranger if asked.
