WRFO Geospatial Home
Welcome to the BLM White River Field Office (WRFO) Geospatial (GIS/RS/GPS) Home Page. Geospatial technologies provide analytical and decision-making support for effective and efficient management of public lands. At the WRFO, geospatial technologies are at the core of what we do. From documenting and protecting archaeological resources, to the maintenance of wildlife habitat, to logistical and tactical support for wildland fires, geospatial technologies are integral to our success. Our data are a product of a multitier organization. Some data that we use are maintained by the BLM National Operations Center (NOC), some by BLM Colorado State Office (COSO), and some are maintained here at the WRFO.  In addition, we use data developed by our interagency partners, e.g., US Geological Survey (USGS), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), or the Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW). This site is intended as a resource for the public and for commercial parties interested in learning more about geospatial technologies in the BLM and as a resource for data dissemination (forthcoming).
