The BLM White River Field Office features diverse public land settings, providing a multitude of recreation opportunities and experiences.  This includes six Wilderness Study Areas (WSAs), seven Game Management Units (GMUs), the archaeologically rich Canyon Pintado National Historic District, the White River, the Dinosaur Diamond Scenic Byway near the communities of Rangely and Dinosaur, and the Flattops Scenic Byway which begins in the Town of Meeker.
