The National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) requires the BLM to consider significant environmental impacts prior to approval of actions on public lands. When an activity or action is proposed within the Uncompahgre Field Office, BLM staff conduct an interdisciplinary review of the potential environmental impacts in order to make more informed decisions and identify measures to protect, restore, and enhance the environment.

This register is updated weekly and as needed.

The UFO NEPA Register provides current information for the following types of management actions:
EA = Environmental Assessment
CX = Categorical Exclusion
DNA = Documentation of NEPA Adequacy and Land Use Plan Conformance
EIS = Environmental Impact Statement
Documents are removed from this register approximately two months after the completion date. Completed actions less than two months old are also available in the public room of the Uncompahgre Field Office headquarters in Montrose.
