Travel Management Planning is a process whereby the BLM gathers data on existing public land travel patterns to determine current travel trends and new route proliferation.  This information is then analyzed in the context of the multi-use mandates put forward by the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLMPA).  The outcome is a plan that provides meaningful recreational opportuities without permanently damaging the environment.
