ELEVATION:  6,200 feet – 9,000 feet

LOCATION:  25 miles west of Cañon City, off of U.S. Hwy 50.
 
ALLOWED USES: All motorized and non-motorized
 
MILES OF TRAIL: 45 miles
 
TYPES OF TRAIL: 4WD, ATV, motorcycle
 
SEASON: September-May
 
FACILITIES: Restroom, parking, information kiosk
 
WATER AVAILABILITY: None
 
CAMPING: Dispersed camping is allowed throughout this area. Please camp only in existing sites and do not create new sites or fire rings. Contact the BLM office for information on current fire bans and please follow all fire restrictions. 

DIRECTIONS: From Cañon City, head west on U.S. Hwy 50 for approximately 25 miles. Turn right (north) from the highway following the signs for the Texas Creek Recreation Area across the bridge over the Arkansas River. Follow the signs for ½ mile to OHV parking across the railroad tracks.
