Historical sites and their importance to the revival of the past play an integral part in the BLM's service objectives.  A great deal of these areas are protected and preserved so that their beauty and historical impact can last for years to come.
Garden Park Paleontology Area View the site where Colorado's state fossil Stegosaurus was removed and visit the Dinosaur Depot in downtown Cañon City to see volunteers working on specimens from the site.
