South Park Land Tenure Adjustment Environmental Assessment, Record of Decision, Finding of No Significant Impact
The Record of Decision (ROD) for the South Park Land Tenure Adjustment Environmental Assessment (EA) has been signed selecting the proposed alternative, Alternative D. The ROD adjusts the land tenure status in the South Park Eco-Subregion of the Royal Gorge Resource Area (RGRA) to reflect the recommendations of the RGRA Resource Management Plan, public input, newly acquired area specific resource knowledge and better mapping technologies.
These adjustments are reflected in the following land tenure categories:
- 40,316 acres (63%) will be retained in BLM ownership
- 19,330 acres (30%) will become exchange-restricted
- 3,953 acres (6%) will be marked for disposal
