Designated Trails

Devils Canyon - Check out the new brochure! - 9 miles west of Grand Junction, 5 miles round trip, mild - strenuous hike - Spectacular scenery and solitude
Jones Canyon - 30 miles southwest of Grand Junction, 4 miles one way to canyon overlook, moderate hike
Knowles Canyon - 28 miles southwest of Grand Junction, 3.5 miles one way to the canyon, moderate-strenuous hike
McDonald Creek -  33 miles west of Grand Junction, 3 miles round trip, easy hike - cultural resource area, small collection of rockart
Pollock Bench - 10 miles west of Grand Junction, 4 miles round trip, moderate hike - strenuous - Excellent scenery and solitude
Rabbits Ear -  25 miles west of Grand Junction, 5 miles round trip, easy - moderate hike - Overlook of Ruby Canyon
Rattlesnake Arches - 3 trails into the area, varying lengths and levels of difficulty - Second largest concentration of natural arches in the country
Trail Through Time - 26 miles west of Grand Junction, 1.5 mile loop, easy - moderate hike - Active dinosaur quarry and interpretive trail

Drinking Water

Fresh drinkable water or even streams with water to be filtered
are
 rare within McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area. 
Summer temperatures can reach 100°+ on some of the trails. 
Be sure to pack in plenty of water.  

Recommend:   A minimum of 1 gallon, per person, per day
