The Yampa Valley Golf Course access (river mile 147) is located south of Craig off Colorado State Highway 394.  The turnoff for Highway 394 is on U.S. Highway 40 at Ranney street in the middle of Craig.  Follow the signs to the airport which is located next to the golf course.  The best river access is past the signed golf course entrance as well as the airport.  There is a paved road heading northeast which will end up behind the maintenance shop of the golf course.  A short gravel road paralleling the golf course accesses the Yampa River at a large gravel bar.

This site has NO improvements and is owned by the City of Craig and Moffat County.  There are no passes required at this site but is for seasonal use only.  No overnight camping is allowed.

CAUTION:  Just downstream is a diversion (designed for boating) marked by warning signs.  Run the "notch" in the center of the river.
