Equestrian Activities
Equestrian activities on public lands in the Little Snake Resource Area generally occur on existing roads and trails or open country areas. There are no BLM trails which are limited to equestrian use at this time.
The popular equestrian areas on public lands include: Browns Park, Sand Wash Basin, Little Yampa Canyon and Emerald Mountain Special Recreation Management Areas, and the Cold Springs Mountain, Diamond Breaks and Cross Mountain Wilderness Study Areas.
Information on existing roads and trails, and water sources in these areas may be found on 1:100,000 scale maps or the Gateway to Moffat County Visitor Center. USGS topographic maps are useful for more detailed information.
Specific trail guides are not available.
Additional information may be obtained from the Craig Chamber of Commerce
