Trough Road Watchable Wildlife Route
From Kremmling take Hwy 9 south about 1 mile to Grand County 1 (Trough Road). Your tour begins on Grand County 1 (Trough Road), changes to Eagle County 11, and ends when you reach State Route 131. Trough road is about 30 mile long and runs through Grand and Eagle counties. Information Kiosk locations are located on each end of the route. Look for three important and very different wildlife habitats along the Trough Road Watchable Wildlife Route.
Facilities along the tour route include two BLM campgrounds. The campgrounds provide boat launches (for rafts and kayaks), vault toilets, parking and opportunities for fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing and picnicking. |
