Schedule for the day:

  • 7:00 a.m. Meet in Granby at SolVista Ski Area Base Lodge for registration, pick up FREE t-shirt and goody-bag, eat FREE continental breakfast, and pick up FREE sack lunch
  • 7:45 a.m. Busses and vans leave for work sites
  • 9:00 a.m. For those folks who would like to drive directly to Pumphouse Recreation Site, please be there by 9:00 a.m.  See below for directions.
  • 4:30 p.m. Busses and vans bring participants back to Solvista for evening festivities.  Note: For those folks who do not plan on returning to SolVista, there will be a FREE barbeque provided by the BLM at the Pumphouse Recreation Site
  • 5:00 p.m. FREE h'orderves to start the party at SolVista
  • 5:30 p.m. FREE catered dinner for all participants and enjoy live music from Gary Keys
  • 6:30 p.m. Party and Door Prizes continue into the evening at SolVista

Under 18 and want to volunteer for the BLM?  You must have your parent or guardian fill out a volunteer agreement and bring it with you to the event.

NPLD Kremmling Field Office Events

Event #1: Colorado River Clean-Up
  • Volunteers with specialized skills are needed for the Colorado River Cleanup.  Duckies, kayaks, and rafts are needed to help clean the Colorado River between Pumphouse and State Bridge We will clean out stone fire rings and pick up garbage, old tires and other debris in and along the river.   All volunteers must have their own PFDs and personal protection equipment such as work gloves.
Event #2: Gore Canyon Trail
  • Volunteers are needed for the Gore Canyon Trail from Pumphouse Recreation Area. The trail provides fishing access and a hiking opportunity with incredible views of the lower Gore Canyon and the Upper Colorado River. Trail work will include tread and corridor maintenance and some stone work on a retaining wall and steps. Participants should be prepared for all weather conditions and bring work gloves.
