Public lands within the Wolford Mountain Area offer a wide variety of recreational opportunities including hiking, wildlife viewing, picnicking, sightseeing, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, mountain biking, camping and vehicle touring.

The area's existing network of primitive roads and trails has been established over many years by local ranchers, recreationists, cattle and wildlife.  In January 2005, the Kremmling Field Office completed designations for the road and trail network, resulting in a system of route opportunities for travel by foot, horse, mountain bike, motorcycle, ATV and 4x4.

Each road and trail is signed for the appropriate type of use; if for some reason a route does not have a sign indicating the type of use allowed, the route should be considered CLOSED.
