WELCOME TO WOLFORD MOUNTAIN AREA
The public lands within the Wolford Mountain Area offer a wide variety of recreational opportunities including hiking, wildlife viewing, picnicking, sightseeing, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, mountain biking, camping, and vehicle touring.
The area's existing network of primitive roads and trails has been established over many years by local ranchers, recreationists, cattle, and wildlife. In January 2005, the Kremmling Field Office completed designations for the road and trail network, resulting in a system of route opportunities for travel by foot, horse, mountain bike, motorcycle, ATV, and 4x4.
Each road and trail should be signed for the appropriate type of use; however if for some reason a route does not have a sign indicating the type of use allowed, then the route should be considered CLOSED.
