Hiking in the Dice Hill Area
The Dice Hill area offers a variety of recreational opportunities including hiking, wildlife viewing, picnicking, sightseeing, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and camping. Hikers and horseback riders can enjoy unrestricted access throughout the area. The area's existing network of primitive roads and trails meet a variety of needs of local residents and public land users. These routes were designated as part of the 1988 Off Highway Vehicle Implementation Plan. The purpose of this limited use designation is to protect vegetation which provides food and cover for wildlife and livestock while protecting the watershed. This also provides areas for quality hunting opportunities and reduces trespass onto private lands.
Roads and trails that are open to motorized vehicles are posted as such. Any route that does not have a sign indicating that it is Open for motorized use, is Closed. Snowmobiles on at least 12 inches of snow are permitted throughout the Dice Hill Area.
