CAMPING ON BLM PUBLIC LANDS IN COLORADO
There are several options for staying overnight on public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Colorado. You can camp within a vehicle, trailer, tent, under the stars, enjoy a developed campground or any number of dispersed (undeveloped) sites. Visitors can camp on a remote trail or boat to a dispersed site along the river.
Developed Campgrounds
Developed campgrounds may include a variety of these facilities: a toilet, picnic tables, a fire ring, potable water, tent pads, and/or garbage cans.
Pumphouse Campground - This site requires a fee, which helps fund the maintenance of the site.
Radium Campground - This site requires a fee, which helps fund the maintenance of the site.
Cottonwood Campground - River access, hiking access, vehicle access (Labor Day to June 1)
Cabin Campground - River access only
Benches Campground - River access only
Dispersed (Undeveloped) Sites
Undeveloped sites are normally recognized by a hardened surface, with no vegetation, and where others have already camped. Please use pre-existing campfire rings or firepans and know local fire restrictions for that area. Please pack out all trash and properly dispose of human waste.
Kremmling Field Office Camping Rules and Regulations:
* Visitors can only camp in the same area for 14 days
* Visitors cannot leave a camp unattended for over 48 hours
* Visitors must keep camp free from litter or debris
* Visitors must know local fire restrictions and NEVER leave an unattended campfire
