Trail Etiquette

  • Stay on the trail - follow the switchbacks even if you see a more direct route.

  • Pack out your trash.

  • Pedestrians have the right-of-way over bikers, and both hikers and mountain bikers must yield to horses.

  • Do not disturb wildlife or their habit along the trail.  Disturbing wildlife or damaging the environment destroys the trail for all of us.

Keep it Safe

  • Always tell someone where you will be hiking and your expected return time.

  • Keep an eye to the sky, summer flash flooding or lightning can be deadly.
