Cost:  $17.00 per ton

Decorative lichen (moss) covered black basalt boulders are perfect for landscaping. Most of the rocks/boulders along the road have been harvested, however there is still plenty of good rocks to be gathered within the common use area boundaries.  Rock can be gathered from the surface only, no surface disturbance is allowed to remove the rock.

Directions:  Travel on Highway 50 from Grand Junction to the turnoff about 11 miles south of Whitewater and turn right onto a graded dirt road.  Go 0.7 of a mile to the site, located along the right side of the road.  Map
