BLM public lands in Colorado provide wonderful outdoor learning opportunities for all students. Check with your local field office to learn more about educational opportunities in your area. In the meantime, check out these informational links.

BLM’s Learning Landscapes Teacher Page - Public lands offer a wide array of educational opportunities. Discover materials to enliven your lesson plans. Learn about outdoor classroom opportunities. Take your students outside “virtually.”

Hands on the Land (HOL) is a network of field classrooms stretching across America from Alaska to Florida. Through the HOL network, federal agencies are providing a diverse array of hands-on learning opportunities for teachers and students.

Gunnison Resource & Environmental Education Network - Federal, state and local environmental agencies, each with their unique missions, will dedicate their collective resources to accomplish a common vision of improved information dissemination and education in the Gunnison Basin.

Teaching Environmental Science Naturally (T.E.N.) is an interagency, site-based, outdoor environmental science program for teachers that focuses on local natural resources to provide teachers with hands-on experiences, in their own backyards.

Project Archaeology uses archaeological inquiry to foster understanding of past and present cultures; improve social studies and science education; and enhance citizenship education to help preserve our archaeological legacy.

Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education (CAEE) facilitates communication, cooperation, collaboration and coordination among the varied environmental education programs in the state.

Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education's Resource Commons provides a clearinghouse of resources. Recently built, the site has over 200 resources are already listed. You can even correlate resources to the New Colorado Academic Standards. New features and searchability options are being added daily.

CDOW’s Teacher Resources features educator resources from the Colorado Division of Wildlife, including training opportunities, curriculum and more. 

Colorado Foundation for Water Education (CFWE)  promotes better understanding of Colorado's water resources and issues by providing balanced and accurate information and education.

Project Learning Tree is an award-winning environmental education program designed for teachers and other educators, parents, and community leaders working with youth from preschool through grade 12.

Project WILD is a wildlife focused conservation education program for K-12 educators and their students.

Colorado Project WET - The mission of Project WET is to reach children, parents, educators and communities of the world with water education.
