Grand Valley Area

Off-highway vehiclesThe Grand Valley area lies at the base of the Bookcliffs, an incredibly long flat-top mountain range. The tallest and most defined feature of the chain, Mount Garfield, is an incredible sight. Expansive desert terrain with mixed desert scrub characterizes the Grand Valley area. The sparse vegetation is ideal for off-highway vehicle use and mountain biking. Visitors will find exciting rides on the barren hills of Grand Valley OHV Open Area. Though surrounding lands are popular for target shooting, the OHV area itself is a designated no shooting zone. For the best shooting opportunities, visit Grand Valley Shooting Range.
