Dominguez Canyon Wilderness

[Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area]

Scenic waterfall

Dominguez Canyon Wilderness lies in the heart of the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area, providing habitat for desert bighorn sheep, as well as threatened species of fish and cactus. Trails alongside Big Dominguez Creek and Little Dominguez Creek provide outstanding opportunities to explore by foot or by horseback. The red-rock standstone canyons here feature spectacular geology and paleontology, and remnants of Native American cultures and mining activity reflect the region's history.
