Contact: David Boyd, Public Affairs Specialist, (970) 947-2832 September 24, 2008 BLM Releases Overland Pipeline EA for Additional Public Comment The Bureau of Land Management has released the Environmental Assessment on the proposed 152-mile Overland Pass Pipeline in northwestern Colorado and southwestern Wyoming for additional public comment. The proposed natural gas liquids pipeline would begin southwest of Meeker, Colo. and terminate east of Wamsutter, Wyo. The project consists of construction, operation, and maintenance of a 14-inch diameter buried steel pipeline and related facilities. Approximately 96 percent of the proposed pipeline route would run parallel to existing pipelines, and/or other utility corridors. The original Environmental Assessment was released in July of this year, and has been updated to incorporate a new alternative route proposal. BLM encourages comments be made specific to this new alternative. The EA is available from the BLM website at: http://www.blm.gov/co/st/en/BLM_Programs/land_use_planning/EA/overland_pipeline.html.
