The GCDB data was checked for attribute accuracy by the BLM GCDB personnel. All legal descriptions are based on the GCDB data. Any errors in legal descriptions should be cross-referenced to the GCDB and reported to the Colorado GCDB Manager. Errors discovered in this dataset should be rectified in the GIS and the Stipulations Database Management System Application.

Stipulations for each planning area were abstracted from the Resource Management Plans (RMP), Record of Decision (ROD), Plan Amendments, and Plan Maintenance.

Process_Description:

Base GIS layers were collected from various planning areas to represent stipulation location. Layers were referenced to source data acquired from the BLM State Office and Division of Wildlife. Stipulation layers were overlain with the GCDB. Intersected polygons were exported to individual themes and appropriately attributed. Polygons with no federal oil and gas rights were discarded.
