The Coal Draw ACEC includes areas known to contain vertebrate fossils or noteworthy occurences of invertebrate or plant fossils as collected under BLM permit. Fossils associated with the Williams Fork Formation include multituberculate, eutherian, and marsupial mammals; dinosaurs; crocodilians; turtles; champsosaurs; other reptiles; sharks; fish; invertebrates; and plants.
