BLM accepting comments on 19 commercial recreation permits in Eagle, Grand, Jackson, Larimer and Summit counties (12-19-13)

KREMMLING — The Bureau of Land Management's Kremmling Field Office is seeking public comment regarding 19 commercial special recreation permit renewal applications for the Upper Colorado River corridor and uplands within Eagle, Grand, Jackson, Larimer and Summit counties.

The BLM issues commercial SRPs to provide recreation businesses the opportunity to operate on BLM lands, to implement recreation management decisions and to ensure a fair return to the public for commercial use of public lands.
To help with its evaluation of these permit applications, the BLM is seeking public comment regarding each applicant's safety history, conflicts that have been associated with the applicants or their employees while operating on public lands, or any other information that would be useful to the agency as it considers the applications.

To provide comment on the applications, contact Teri Parvin at the Kremmling Field Office at tparvin@blm.gov, or 970 724-3000.  Comments need to be received by March 31, 2014
