DENVER­--The Bureau of Land Management Colorado State Office has posted its list of parcels for the quarterly competitive oil and gas lease sale scheduled for 9 a.m., March 24, 2011, at BLM's Colorado State Office in Lakewood.

 

Two parcels totaling 2,041 acres are being offered in Routt County. Neither of the parcels include proposed wilderness or U.S. Forest Service roadless areas.

The BLM manages 253 million acres – more land than any other Federal agency. This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska. The Bureau, with a budget of about $1 billion, also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estates throughout the nation.
