BLM’s Northwest Resource Advisory Council
meets Dec. 4 in Gateway
The Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Resource Advisory Council will meet 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Gateway Canyons Resort, 43200 Highway 141.
The meeting is open to the public, with public comment periods scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Agenda topics include:
· Updates from NW Colorado BLM Field Offices
· Grand Junction RMP subgroup update
· Planning for priority species
· Use of beetles to control tamarisk
· McInnis Canyons NCA Citizens Advisory Council
The Northwest RAC is one of three advisory councils to BLM Colorado. Composed of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior, individuals serving in each RAC represent a broad range of public land interests, including environmental, local government, and commercial activity. The Northwest RAC advises the Grand Junction, White River, Little Snake, Kremmling and Glenwood Springs BLM field offices.
