Northwest Resource Advisory Council meets Nov. 9 in Glenwood Springs

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—The Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Resource Advisory Council will meet Nov. 9 at the Glenwood Springs Community Center, 100 Wulfsohn Road.

The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. and is scheduled to adjourn at 3 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, with public comment periods scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Agenda topics include:

• Updates from Field Offices
• Oil Shale Update (RD&D, Commercial Leasing, Rulemaking)
• Glenwood Springs/Kremmling Field Office RMP revisions
• Roan Plateau Proposed Plan review/status
• RAC appointments, term updates, next year’s schedule

The Northwest RAC is one of three advisory councils to BLM Colorado. The RACs are composed of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior representing a broad range of public land interests, including environmental, local government, and commercial activity. The Northwest RAC advises the Grand Junction, White River, Little Snake, Kremmling and Glenwood Springs BLM field offices.
