Northwest Resource Advisory Council meets August 10 in Craig

CRIAG, CO—The Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Resource Advisory Council will meet Aug. 10 in Craig at the Holiday Inn, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13.

The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. and is scheduled to adjourn at 3 p.m.  The meeting is open to the public, with public comment periods scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  Agenda topics include:

  • Updates from Field OfficesSplit Estate resolution discussionRS 2477 updateH&P rig update/request for small-scale pilot study covering the use of drill cuttings as gravels on roads/pads as gravels
  • BLM oil and gas leasing procedures overview

The Northwest RAC is one of three advisory councils to BLM Colorado. Composed of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior, individuals serving in each RAC represent a broad range of public land interests, including environmental, local government, and commercial activity. The Northwest RAC advises the Grand Junction, White River, Little Snake, Kremmling and Glenwood Springs BLM field offices.
