McInnis Canyons NCA Advisory Council welcomes new members

GRAND JUNCTION, CO—The McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area (NCA) Advisory Council will hold its first meeting since the 10-member Council appointments were announced earlier this year. The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m., on Thursday, June 22, at the Mesa County Administration Bldg, 544 Rood Ave, Grand Junction.

“We’re pleased to have several new members joining the Advisory Council, along with 3 members who were reappointed to serve,” McInnis Canyons NCA Manager Paul Peck said. “These individuals were recently appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and we look forward to gaining their input as we move forward with implementing the Resource Management Plan for the NCA.”

Agenda topics for the June 22 meeting include:
· Introduction of New Members
· Overview of the McInnis Canyons NCA
· Election of officers
· NCA manager updates
· Next steps
