BLM cosponsoring "The Story Behind Stone Tools" presentation at the Anasazi Heritage Center

The San Juan Mountains Association and the Bureau of Land Management are cosponsoring a presentation by Dr. Kim Gerhardt on May 22, 2005 at 2pm at the Anasazi Heritage Center, 27501 Hwy 184, Dolores, CO. The presentation, "The Story Behind Stone Tools", reveals the connection between ancient environments, local geology and prehistoric tools, pottery and buildings. The public is invited.

The Anasazi Heritage Center is open daily from 9am to 5pm. The museum is located 3 miles west of Dolores, Colorado. The museum also serves as the visitor information center for Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. A $3 admission fee is charged for adults, 17 and under and Golden Pass holders are free. Other special events are made possible through visitor donations
