Northwest Resource Advisory Council
to meet August 11 in Walden
WALDEN, CO— The Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet August 11 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, Wattenberg Ctr., 686 County Rd. 42, in Walden.
The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. and is scheduled to adjourn at 3 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, with a public comment period scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Agenda topics include:
· Field Manager Updates
· RAC Working Group Reports
· Discussion on Recreation Resource Advisory Committees
· North Sand Hills Management Plan
· Roan Plateau Draft RMP Update, RAC Discussions
· Emerald Mountain Land Exchange Project Update
· Blue Valley Land Exchange Project Update
The RAC is the advisory council for the BLM, composed of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and representing a broad range of public land interests, ranging from environmental to local government to commercial activity.
