Public Meetings on Great Sand Dunes Exchange

Next week, there will be two public meetings held to discuss the proposed land exchange for the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Baca National Wildlife Refuge.  The public meetings will be open houses allowing nearby residents to discuss issues of the exchange with representatives from the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Colorado State Land Board.

The meetings will be held at the following locations:

The proposed land exchange between the Bureau of Land Management and the Colorado State Land Board will implement the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve Act of November 2000.
