BLM Colorado introduces RSS to its websiteLAKEWOOD, CO -- The Bureau of Land Management in Colorado now offers Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed on its website, located at www.co.blm.gov. RSS feeds are designed to provide users free content from Web sites, including article headlines, summaries and links back to full-text articles on the Internet. RSS is an easy way to be alerted when content that interests readers appears on favorite sites. Instead of visiting a particular Website to browse for new articles and features, RSS automatically tells subscribers when something new is posted online. BLM Colorado's RSS feed offers summaries of the latest press releases, and allows readers to track updates on the website. "Our RSS feed is another service we're offering the public to stay-on-top of issues and decisions affecting public lands in Colorado," observed BLM Colorado State Director Sally Wisely. BLM Colorado is the first of the Bureau’s state offices to incorporate RSS feed as part of its website capabilities. "We are proud to be the first state in the Bureau to implement RSS as part of our overall communications efforts; and we hope that the public will find it a useful tool," said Wisely. To subscribe to BLM Colorado RSS feed, or to learn how to use RSS, go to www.co.blm.gov/rss. -BLM- |
