Southwest Resource Advisory Council to meet July 22 in Silverton

SILVERTON, CO—The Bureau of Land Management’s Southwest Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet July 22 at the Silverton Town Hall, 1360 Greene St. in Silverton.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to adjourn at 4 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, with a public comment period scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Agenda topics include:

· Field Manager Updates
· Joint FS/BLM RMP Revision Update
· Update on Recreation Guidelines
· Alpine Loop Resource Mapping Project
· Purchasing Land for Public Use
· Leasing Notification Process
· Public Comment Period

The RAC is the advisory council for the BLM, composed of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and representing a broad range of public land interests, ranging from environmental to local government to commercial activity.
