Southwest Resource Advisory Council to meet May 6 in Gunnison

GUNNISON, CO—The Bureau of Land Management’s Southwest Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet May 6 at the Gunnison County Multi-Purpose Community Ctr., 275 S. Spruce St., Small Room, in Gunnison.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and is scheduled to adjourn at 3 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, with a public comment period scheduled for 2:15 p.m. Agenda topics include:

· Field Manager Updates
· Hartman Rocks Update
· Gunnison Sage-grouse Update
· New Interagency Fire Organization
· Fire Mitigation Video/Fuels Program
· Public Comment Period

The RAC is the advisory council for the BLM, composed of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and representing a broad range of public land interests, ranging from environmental to local government to commercial activity.
