The Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet Nov. 10 at the Holiday Inn, 755 Horizon Dr., in Grand Junction.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to adjourn at 4 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, with public comment periods scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Agenda topics include:

  • Election of Officers
  • Western Slope Center Status Report
  • Committee Reports: Cultural Resources, Wildlife, Invasive Species, Energy and Minerals
  • Cultural Resources – Considering Effects of BLM Actions on Non-Federal Lands
  • Emerald Mountain Land Exchange
  • BLM Planning Priorities and Planning Schedule
  • RAC Community Stewardship Plan - Dominguez/Escalante Canyons
  • Oil and Gas Permitting Demand in Northwest Colorado
  • Set fiscal year 2005 meetings and training

The RAC is comprised of 15 members from a variety of backgrounds appointed by the Secretary of the Interior to make recommendations to the BLM on public land issues.
