Southwest RAC to meet Feb. 20 in Silverton

SILVERTON, CO--The Bureau of Land Management's Southwest Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet Feb. 20 at the Kendall Mountain Community Center, located on 14th St. at the Animas River, in Silverton. 

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to adjourn at 4:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, with two public comment periods scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Agenda topics include emerging road and right-of-way issues, major project updates, land exchange proposals and field manager reports.

The RAC is comprised of 15 members from a variety of backgrounds appointed by the Secretary of the Interior to make recommendations to the BLM on public land issues.
