Cow Creek road to reopen

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Glenwood Springs field office has completed road repairs and improvements on Cow Creek road from Rio Blanco County Road 5 to one mile south of Piceance Creek. Just in time for big game hunting season, Cow Creek road will reopen on Aug. 25.

Construction began on July 15 and repairs included placing a prefabricated steel bridge over Piceance Creek, as well as installing a retaining wall to prevent slope erosion along Cow Creek.
