BLM accepting applications for commercial Special Recreation Permits

GRAND JUNCTION—Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Grand Junction will be accepting applications for commercial Special Recreation Permits (SRP) from Aug. 1 through Aug. 31, 2004 for permits beginning in January 2005.

Commercial outfitters whose permits expire at the end of 2004, and new outfitters that wish to operate on BLM public lands within the Grand Junction field office (GJFO) jurisdiction, are required to submit their proposals to that office.

Applications will not be accepted for commercial river activity on the Colorado River through Ruby and Horsethief Canyons.
