Southwest RAC to meet at Fort Lewis College in Durango

Durango, CO—The Bureau of Land Management Southwest Colorado Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at the Center for Southwest Studies, Fort Lewis College, Durango, CO.

Topics include an update on the Canyon of the Ancients National Monument, the Service First initiative, Sustaining Working Landscapes initiative and the BLM’s National Sage Grouse Conservation Strategy.

Public comment will be held at 9:30 a.m. and again at 3:30 p.m.

The 15-member RAC comprises individuals from a variety of backgrounds.  Members are appointed by the Secretary of the Interior to make recommendations to the BLM on public land issues.
